What is employment specialist therapy and why is it so important?

Stress, depression or anxiety and musculoskeletal disorders accounted for the majority of days lost due to work-related ill health in 2021/22, over 17 million. On average, each person suffering took around 16.5 days off work. With these statistics in mind, it seems even more important to look after and understand our mental health and wellbeing needs surrounding work and employment. Everyone everywhere has things that come up in their lives that they find hard to deal with at times. Here at TLC we work with each individuals needs, experiences and feelings. Therapy can be a big step for anyone, but the outcomes can have a significant impact on people’s ability to remain in work, gain confidence and tackle their mental health issues.

One to one therapy:

We strive to provide the most person centred, up to date and beneficial therapy to each individual that comes through our door. We offer a free 15-minute consultation session either via telephone or at our clinic. This will give you the chance to explain what your main reason for seeking therapy is and for us to refer you to the best suited therapist. The first therapy session will last 50-minutes and this will be a full assessment of your needs, goals and expectations of therapy. Within this session (and all sessions) we aim to create a safe, secure and calm environment where you can be yourself, talk honestly and be free from judgement. We offer face to face, online or telephone sessions.

Workshops:

We offer bespoke wellbeing workshops to businesses in and around Chesterfield and Derbyshire. Within these workshops we expand on the importance of wellbeing in the workplace, provide tips and techniques for employees to utilise in their day-to-day mental health management, and also provide information around wellness action plans and reasonable adjustments.
