ADHD Support

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, also known as ADHD, is a neurodiversity that can be difficult to live with if you haven’t got the right tools. Here at TLC we can offer a pre-assessment, education and on-going support for adults and children currently struggling with ADHD traits.

What can ADHD support help me with?

Here at TLC we provide a comprehensive pre-assessment to help understand if there may be underlying neurodiversity, along with mental health issues. We can offer a full report for GP’s and schools to support referrals and strategy implementation. Our trained mental health nurses and psychotherapists offer:

  • Psychoeducation: Learning about ADHD and self-care, including not committing to too many activities, sleep hygiene, and self-care.
  • Organisational skills: Techniques to improve daily organisation and productivity.
  • Self-regulation: Methods such as meditation and mindfulness.
  • Psychosocial education: Learning how to cope with ADHD and develop coping skills for parents.
  • Adapting to change: Coping strategies for big changes such as moving house or starting college/ university.

ADHD can present with a wide range of signs and symptoms. Although many people with ADHD may experience similar struggles, each person has their own distinct difficulties. It is important for any ADHD screening and treatment to be conducted by professionals who possess up-to-date expertise and knowledge in this field.
